Age Groups

Groups are a great way to learn the Bible, grow in faith, and develop a wonderful support system with friends who are experiencing life together and seeking to focus on Jesus. Groups are led by many different members of the congregation at different times and locations.

Help us to acknowledge and honor the unique characteristics of every child while we strive to provide a safe, inclusive, connected, positive space where kids are encouraged to grow in their faith to the best of their abilities.

Find community and support joining “Young Families!” This fellowship small group gets together to talk through the highs & lows of life raising littles and share a few laughs along the way.
Meetings are every Wednesday Connect at 6PM, childcare provided.

University Ministries

From our beginnings, Normal 1st has been a part of the Il State University Community. We welcome students in worship and in all the ministries of the church. We’re happy to partner with MERGE (Wesley Foundation) Campus Ministries, which can be found on the lower level of Normal 1st.

School Street Pantry

Opened in 2018, the School Street Food Pantry is Fridays 4:00-6:00pm (Thursdays in the summer), providing free, healthy, fresh foods to ISU students and any other college student in McLean County.
