Thanks for a great Easter celebration. Now what?
This weekend we start a series entitled, “Who Are We?” This is a question each of us should ask from time to time: “Who am I?” It is important to have a core identity that guides and grounds us in the midst of all the distractions and challenges of our lives. When everything that doesn’t finally matter is stripped away, who are we? It is also a question churches should ask themselves. After Easter, at this time in our history, who are we?
We will begin the answer this week by affirming that we are followers (disciples) of Jesus Christ. What does that mean? To get at that question, we will look at three more questions.
- Who is Jesus?
- What did Jesus do?
- What does Jesus want me or us to do?
How do you answer those questions for yourself? How do you answer those questions for our church?
As we talk about a little sword fighting from the movie, First Knight, we will also suggest that there is a time for every person and every church to go deeper. To really follow Jesus Christ, there is a time when you have to be willing to lose everything to find the greatest prize.
Pastor Kim will be leading worship on Saturday afternoon. I will be leading on Sunday morning.
We look forward to worshipping with you.
