Saturday, 5:00 Worship

Our worship focus will come from the Gospel of Mark 9:38-50. The disciples are working really hard to draw very firm and clear boundaries as to who is “in” and who is “out”. As often happens, Jesus expands their understanding and challenges them to do some soul-searching themselves. What are they doing that keeps others from experiencing the love of Christ?

Sunday, 9:30 Worship

Bishop Sally Dyck (https://www.umcnic.org/about/bishops-office) of the Northern Illinois Conference will be preaching. Her text will be Joshua 2 & Joshua 6:25 and her sermon title is “Nevertheless, She Persisted”. Bishop Dyck is a dynamic preacher, caring pastor, and down-to-earth leader. We are fortunate and blessed to have her come and lead us on this United Methodist Women’s Sunday.

Following worship, in the Fellowship Hall, everyone is invited to a “Conversation with Bishop Dyck”. There will be light refreshments, tables for children (with activities), and an opportunity to ask questions. We’ll conclude by 11:30.

*Childcare (up to age 5) will be available.

REMINDER: THERE IS NO 11:00 WORSHIP SERVICE THIS SUNDAY.

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall weather! Our prayers are with all of the farmers who are spending long hours in the fields.

Blessings & look forward to seeing you in worship,

 Pastor Kathy
