Do you feel a deep sense of contentment in your life?

Do you ever feel restless?

What leads to contentment?

There is an old song by the rock group U2, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” This song still resonates with many people. One day a woman was playing cards with friends and then suddenly blurted out, “Is this all there is?” Although she seemed to have everything and have it all together, she still felt like something was missing. Many of us expected life to bring more. We expected more joy and more satisfaction, or more contentment.

This weekend in worship, we will talk about Restless Heart Syndrome, and why we often feel a restlessness deep down. We will also explore ways to cultivate real contentment in our lives.

The Scriptures we will focus on this weekend are: Ecclesiastes 2:10-11, Hebrews 13:5-6 and Luke 12:15.

Laurie Fuller will be leading the Saturday afternoon service. She will focus on Gratitude. We appreciate Laurie leading so Kathy and I can have a Parent Weekend with our son Josh at St. Olaf College. We celebrate the gifts that God continues to give Laurie in preaching and many other areas.

I will be leading both services on Sunday morning. We will focus on “Cultivating Contentment.”

Don’t forget to bring your change this weekend. We will celebrate another NOISY OFFERING in all three worship services.

We look forward to worshiping with you.

Come ready to reflect on your life and experience more!
