Last week in worship we were able to remember the saints who have gone before us. We remembered members of our congregation who have died in the past year, and we remember that faith in God gives us hope that there’s not only meaning in this life, but also in the life to come.
This week we will celebrate the babies and children who have been added to our congregation by birth and adoption in the last year Our church family is richer with each new addition, no matter the age! We will listen to Matthew 18:2-6 and consider the question “What do our children need?” We should probably start with who are OUR children? Are they the ones in our immediate family? Or our community? Perhaps you’ve heard (and experienced) the adage “It takes a village to raise a child”. As I’ve been thinking about this, I’ve wondered what the children of our congregation need from us, and what the children of our community need from us, and what the children of the world need from us. Maybe you already have some ideas about this!
We will have pictures of the children we are celebrating in all services, and the babies and children will be present at the 11:00 service.
Looking forward to worshiping with you this weekend!
