These past few weeks, we have been learning about the people that first Christmas who said Yes to God.

               Brave like Mary

               Kind like Joseph

               Daring like the Shepherds

And this weekend, Generous like the Wise Ones.

I suspect that we usually think of their generosity in terms of the gifts that they brought – gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Indeed those were extraordinary and generous gifts.

But that’s not the only way they were generous. The gift of their time to get there, perhaps was even more extraordinary. Historians believe it took 2 years.

How do we say Yes to God through being generous with our time?

In our 11:00 service, we’ll be celebrating the baptism of Keaton Cross, son of Adam & Holly Cross, and grandson of Janna & Mike Peterson and Kim & Gary Cross.

Wherever you worship this weekend and on Christmas Eve, may God’s spirit touch you in a profound way.
