Volunteers Needed!

The Center for Hope Outreach Programs has exciting fall service opportunities. The Center for Hope serves the McLean County community is a variety of ways, and volunteers are needed for almost every program. Volunteers are needed for the following programs:

Kingdom Closet & Boutique Distribution Center offers clothing, shoes, accessories and related items to families in McLean County who are facing financial hardship or crisis. Volunteers are needed for the Saturday shopping hours of 9:30-2:30; volunteers are asked to serve one Saturday a month.

Temba Food Pantry at 14940 Old Colonial Road, Bloomington, is the site for a walk-in food pantry every Thursday evening. Volunteers are needed especially on Thursday mornings from 9-noon to help set up for the weekly distributions by picking up donations, sorting food, and pre-packing bags.

Do you have office skills that can be shared? Thursday and Friday mornings assistance is need from 9-noon to do clerical work, answer phones and help with the Fresh Mornings produce distribution at the Center for Hope Pantry at 1308 E. Empire, Bloomington.

Your talents are needed from now to December 9th in preparing for the Joy of Giving Holiday Event where children ages 5-12 learn and experience the joy of giving to others. Volunteers are needed to prepare for, to set up on the morning of the event or to assist with the program on the afternoon of December 9th.

If you have specific skills in grant writing or if you are tech savvy, you are needed any time of year at the Center for Hope Outreach offices at 1308 E. Empire. Grants help to cover overhead costs allowing donations to be used for services directly serving clients.
